Two important announcements for teenagers

The last teenage theme nights of the year will take place on May 19th/20th in the Model - the theme will be The Beatles! Entries must be sent to Kieran no later than Friday April 8th.

Also, a reminder that the second annual Sligo Young Songwriters’ Award will take place in the Model on Good Friday 25th March at 8.00pm.

This event, run by Kieran Quinn, is designed to encourage Sligo’s up-and-coming musicians to develop their songwriting abilities and gain the experience of performing their own songs in front of an audience.

The winner of the event will get to record their song in a professional environment with Kieran as mentor later in the year. Last year’s winner, Maria Carbonell from Strandhill is currently working with an engineer to mix her beautiful song ‘Imaginary Rain’.

The event is open to anyone living or in school in Co. Sligo in 4th, 5th and 6th Years.

Entrants can contact Kieran on info@kieranquinn.ie
