What a few nights we had in the Hawkswell Theatre last week! It seems like Theme Night 15 was a huge success, with much of the feedback saying it was the best yet.

3 sold out nights, 1000 people saw the show, 120 performers involved including an orchestra and a choir, 28 fantastic pieces of music courtesy of Billy Joel and Elton John, a 3-hr live broadcast on Ocean FM, and a wonderful audience reaction from all over the world - 1 happy man here!

As always it was a pleasure to find new people to be involved in the show, and those debutants all performed fantastically - so thanks to Luke Devaney. Anthony Kelly, Angela McGuire, Tiernan Courell, Stephen O'Dowd, Peter Watters, Dean Gurrie, Emmanuel McCormack, Dean Mahon, Michael Donaghy, Neil O'Connor and Kelesa Mulcahy for giving of their time and talent.

And to the other performers, the theme night stalwarts - you guys make this show what it is - the energy and expertise you bring to it make all the hard work worthwhile!

Keep an eye out on my Facebook timeline for the videos of the show, which should start to appear as of today (Mon 9th May - which happens to be Billy Joel's birthday)! Thanks as always to Kris and Dominika Manulak for these. Also some great pics courtesy of Steve Rogers on the Hawk's Well Theatre's FB page.

A huge thanks also to my partners in putting this show together - The Hawk's Well Theatre and the Sligo Academy of Music Sinfionetta. To Marie O'Byrne, who had the vision to see a show like this happening in the first place and especially to Niamh Crowley who was with me every step of the way on this one - Sligo is lucky to have you both, and it is always such a pleasure to collaborate with you guys.

Finally, the big announcement - we have less than 3 months to wait before it all happens again - this time it will be an open-air theme night, and it will be FREE!

We are delighted to be part of something really special happening in Sligo this summer - so keep August 4th free - the theme is Stadium Anthems and we are looking forward to rocking Sligo Town that night!
